The AS40015 AR System consists of the AR equipment, listed below. Please refer to individual product specification sheets for details. The export classification for this equipment is 3A001. This equipment is controlled for export in accordance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations. Diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited.
The control and monitoring equipment is to be located in the control room and is mounted in a ventilated equipment rack. Input power to the control rack is filtered and distributed internally. The high power amplifiers, for testing below 1Ghz (5000A225 and 1000W1000E), are housed in their own racks to be located in the amplifier room. A remote controlled, high power switch assembly allows either of these amplifiers to be routed to any of the 3 low frequency antennas in the chamber or to a 5kW termination. The output of the unused amplifier is by default routed to the termination.
For testing above 1GHz, the AR field generation equipment is housed in two air-conditioned, EMI shielded equipment racks. Input power is filtered and distributed internally. Fiber-optically isolated GPIB interface and safety interlock systems are provided. RF connections are through bulkhead connectors located in the top or side of the racks. The frequency matched and dedicated (1 per amplifier) antennas are mounted and cabled to the antenna mast and are user adjustable for both horizontal and vertical polarization. The two TWTA amplifiers (200T4G8M3 and 300T7z5G18M4) are supplied with either dedicated or switched low pass filters in order to guarantee better than -15dBc harmonics.
The shielded equipment racks and antenna mast are mounted on a rolling skid, creating a portable field generation platform. The side of the equipment rack facing the antennas is covered in RF absorber to minimize reflection.
