Electrical – Development Engineer

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, located in Souderton, PA, is seeking a talented and highly motivated electrical engineer to play a key role in the development of Broadband, RF and Microwave Power Amplifiers.  The ideal candidate will prefer diversity over specialization and desire to work in a small team setting to research and develop RF and Microwave power amplifier components.  AR is a privately held company that has been in business continuously since 1969 and is the world leader in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop RF/Microwave components
  • Effectively utilize RF/Microwave simulation tools
  • Design and develop RF/Microwave circuits for broadband power amplifiers
  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave circuits
  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex systems and arrive at conclusions in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • BS from four-year college or university plus ten years related RF experience required

Electronic Assembler

Amplifier Research Corporation in Souderton, PA, world leader in the design and manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, is seeking an Electronic Assembler to perform assembly and repair work of a medium to heavy weight nature on low, medium, and high power amplifiers or other products following work-instructions, parts lists and wire lists using a variety of hand tools. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling complex PC boards; preparing wiring harnesses according to wire list and instructions from engineering documentation; providing assembly instructions to other Assemblers, employees and others, as needed; assemble, repair and harness larger assemblies and units adapting and modifying cabinets and supporting structures as required; and read, interpret and correct wire lists, assembly drawings and schematics.

Logistics and Export Compliance Specialist

Amplifier Research Corporation is seeking an experienced individual to perform all tasks to properly ship products globally in accordance with US export and import regulations.  This requires interaction with various internal departments as well as international forwarders, shipping companies, suppliers and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to perform the following duties:

  • Preparation and review of shipping documents, shipping terms and specifications, shipping quotations and freight claims, along with other logistics functions
  • Participate in the selection and performance review of carriers and international forwarders
  • Provide compliance guidance to the business 
  • Process export license applications and sanctioned party screenings
    • Determine product export classifications 
    • Implementation of trade compliance policies in accordance with U.S. trade regulations (EAR)
    • Manage U.S. Department of Commerce license record keeping requirements 
  • Implement and maintain internal compliance training initiatives  
  • Establish and maintain an organized, user-friendly electronic records retention system
  • Write and maintain relevant SOPs

Associate Degree in Business Administration, or International Business preferred, along with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience with a customs broker or in a documentation or shipping position preferred.  

Core competencies include attention to detail, communication and organization skills, proficiency in MS office, problem solving skills.  Experience with document management and data entry into an MRP system a plus.  Must be able to manage time and priorities efficiently.

Marketing Coordinator

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, world leader in the design and manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to maintain AR’s company brand aesthetics through graphic design services and trade show management, in addition to supporting many other aspects of marketing.

Duties will include participating in the development and production of all printed and electronic collateral including print and online ads, catalogs/brochures, e-mails, application notes, etc. as well as managing and coordinating all trade show operations.  This role will also assist with our email marketing campaigns, media selection, social media, and general marketing support to enhance the company brand.  

Bachelor’s degree and one to three years graphic design experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluent knowledge of MS Office programs and Adobe Creative Suite knowledge required. Approximately 10% travel required for this position.

Experience working with an ad agency preferred.

Process Engineer B

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, world leader in the design and manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical guidance for our engineering and manufacturing teams.  This person will work in a small team to take designs from development to production by applying the latest manufacturing practices and resolving issues from equipment, tooling, procedures, materials, etc.  The optimal candidate will excel at evaluating and implementing alternative methods and techniques to improve labor efficiency.  Additionally, the candidate will play a critical role in the development of complex mechanical designs of housings, carriers, flanges, heat sinks, and hybrid packages as well as production and microelectronic assembly fixturing.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience, or 4 years of experience in electronics fabrication technology and Elec./Mech. Design required.

Knowledge of wire-binding processes, techniques, equipment set-up to achieve wire-bond shape and strength requirements, using thermosonic ball-wedge, wedge-wedge wire-bond machines, techniques and equipment set-up is a plus.
