Supervisor Purchasing

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, world leader in the design & manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor. 

  • Direct activities of subordinate personnel engaged in procurement of materials and supplies required for our corporate location in Souderton, PA
  • Responsible for the department’s integrity and ethical purchasing conduct when dealing with vendors
  • Coordinate purchasing of raw materials to satisfy the short and long term shipping requirements, and coincide with MRP master schedule data
  • Work closely with Scheduling to ensure correct input from the master schedule to achieve on time material deliveries
  • Review and approve requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions with fairness but competitively advantageous to AR
  • Approve plans for controlling defective or unacceptable goods or services.  

Bachelor's degree and six years related experience and/or training preferred. Associate degree and 10 years related work experience acceptable.  Supervisory experience required.  APICS certification is a plus. Travel as required to visit vendors.

CAD Designer

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, located in Souderton, PA, is seeking a motivated, local, recent graduate for an open CAD Design position. This position will learn to play a crucial role in the development of RF/Microwave amplifiers and related instrumentation.  The ideal candidate will prefer diversity over specialization and desire to work in a small team setting to architect, develop, maintain and improve Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Mechanical packaging.  Work alongside and collaborate with a team of engineers to model and document complex electrical and mechanical designs.  Recent CAD experience required.  Experience with Autodesk Inventor®, AutoCAD and Altium Designer is preferred.  AR is a privately-held company that has been in business continuously since 1969 and is the world leader in the industry. This is an entry level position and we welcome recent graduates to apply.


  • Utilize Electrical CAD software to design and develop Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assemblies
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and assembly documentation
  • Create new component symbols and footprints and maintain existing component libraries
  • Utilize solid modeling software to design and develop mechanical parts for product packaging
  • Create Bills of Material
  • Work closely with Engineers to document and assist with optimizing their designs
  • Generate documentation for fabrication and production of assemblies
  • Prepare and implement design changes to existing products


  • 1-2 years of experience with PCB design
  • 1-2 years of experience with 3D mechanical part modeling
  • Experience with Altium Designer
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of RoHS and applicable processes

Duties include managing and implementing our email marketing campaigns, media selection, catalog development, ad development, fiscal budgeting, coordinating and/or participating in social media, exhibit planning and promotion, and general marketing support to enhance the company brand. 


Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) and three to five years email and digital marketing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Marketing automation platform experience; Marketo or equivalent preferred.

Fluent knowledge of MS Office programs.


Adobe Creative Suite knowledge

Experience working with an ad agency
