Electrical – Development Engineer

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, located in Souderton, PA, is seeking a talented and highly motivated electrical engineer to play a key role in the development of Broadband, RF and Microwave Power Amplifiers.  The ideal candidate will prefer diversity over specialization and desire to work in a small team setting to research and develop RF and Microwave power amplifier components.  AR is a privately held company that has been in business continuously since 1969 and is the world leader in the industry.


  • Research and develop RF/Microwave components
  • Effectively utilize RF/Microwave simulation tools
  • Design and develop RF/Microwave circuits for broadband power amplifiers
  • Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF/Microwave circuits
  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex systems and arrive at conclusions in a timely manner
  • Routinely collaborate with others in a team environment
  • Assume additional tasked assigned by management



  • BS from four-year college or university plus ten years related RF experience required
  • MS preferred  
  • 5 or more years’ experience in RF/Microwave circuit research and development
  • 5 or more years’ experience in RF/Microwave power amplifier design
  • Experience with modern RF measurement equipment such as Network Analyzers
  • Experience with modern RF/Microwave simulation tools such as CST and Microwave Office
  • Hand-on RF/Microwave experience

Technical Proposal Writer

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, world leader in the design and manufacture of broadband, RF amplifiers, is seeking a talented Technical Proposal Writer responsible for the preparation and completion of detailed sales proposals for AR solutions. 

The Technical Proposal Writer will review Requests for Information, Proposals and Quotes to generate proposals, including technical solutions. Develop standard document templates, coordinate proposal kick off meetings with team members, while having an in-depth understanding of the product, positioning and documentation required. 

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or a technical discipline required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required as well strong organizational and decision-making skills. The successful candidate will be detailed-oriented, a team player, with the ability to meet critical deadlines and multi-task. Background in the electronics industry required with proven ability to write about, understand and communicate complex technical matters.
