AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, located in Souderton, PA. is looking for a Buyer with experience in the electronics industries to join our team. This position will be responsible for purchasing electronic components and associated hardware supporting our manufacturing operations.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Planning groups while utilizing MRP systems, Excel, and other MS-Office applications to manage material quantity and delivery demands.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily MRP reports; create new Purchase Orders and adjust the schedule of existing PO’s to meet the requirements of the master production schedule.
  • Work Technical disciplines as necessary to obtain competitive quotations for production materials.
  • Select suppliers based on subjective evaluation of minimum cost, maximum quality, and best on-time delivery.
  • Prepare, send, and follow up on purchase orders and bid requests to suppliers.
  • Mediate between Quality department and suppliers to resolve discrepancies; obtain return authorization for production materials to be returned to suppliers for rework, repair, or correction.
  • Assist Customer Service department; obtain return authorization and place PO’s for the repair and calibration of third-party amplifiers and accessories.
  • Maintain inventory levels and perform inventory analysis on select product lines.
  • Place special orders based on Engineering Projects or manually generated requisitions (e.g. shop tools, office supplies, etc.); send a copy of PO’s to department originating request.
  • Aid accounts payable in resolving billing, payment, and credit disputes.
  • Reconcile monthly company credit card statement.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent in a Business or Supply Chain discipline from a two-year college\university or technical school with at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • MRP systems.
  • MS-Office Suite
  • Technical Drawings & Material Specifications.
  • Bills of Material.
  • ERP experience is required, Microsoft Dynamic AX System preferred.
  • Prior experience in electronic components purchasing is highly desirable.

Chamber Project Manager

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation (ARI), located in Souderton, PA, is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to play a key role in ARI’s RF Chamber business. ARI sells and constructs RF Chambers, including semi and full anechoic chambers, reverberation chambers, and antenna measurement chambers. 

The ideal candidate will prefer diversity over specialization and desire to work in a small team setting to support Sales in securing RF chamber opportunities, as well as supporting other Project Managers throughout execution phases.  AR is a privately held company that has been in business continuously since 1969.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales and team to secure RF Chamber opportunities
  • Develop end-to-end Chamber solutions that meet net profit goals, as well as customer expectations. 
  • Identify competitive sources of chamber components required for chamber assembly.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest technical advances in products, components, and R&D techniques.
  • Oversee task groups in assembly, modifications, maintenance of chambers
  • Work closely with Chamber suppliers to aid in the design of Chambers and develop solutions for existing chambers to meet performance requirements.  
  • Ensure through design and regular updates that Chambers remain manufacture-able and exceed a gross cost margin set by management.

Qualifications:

  • BS from four-year college or university (Mechanical Engineering preferred) plus one to five years related construction project experience; or Associate degree and 7 years related construction project experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
