TRUSTe Privacy Certification

This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of the information provided by you as users of our Services or visitors of our Web sites www.amplifiers.com, www.ar-europe.ie, www.arworld.us, www.arww-receiversystems.com,  www.arww-rfmicro.com, and www.arww-modularrf.com owned and controlled by AR RF/ Microwave Instrumentation (dba,“Amplifier Research”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It also describes the choices available to you regarding your access to, and how to update and correct your personal information.

AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has received TRUSTe's Privacy Seal signifying that this privacy statement and our practices have been reviewed for compliance with the TRUSTe program viewable on the validation page available by clicking the TRUSTe seal.. If you have questions or complaints regarding our privacy policy or practices, please contact us at privacy@arworld.us.  If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, please contact TRUSTe at https://feedback-form.truste.com/watchdog/request. The TRUSte program only covers information collected through www.amplifiers.com, www.ar-europe.ie, www.arworld.us, www.arww-receiversystems.com, www.arww-rfmicro.com, and www.arww-modularrf.com and does not cover information that may be collected through software downloaded from the websites.

AR RF/ Microwave Instrumentation complies with the U.S. - EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S. - Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from EU member countries and Switzerland. Information Collection & Use

In order for us to provide you with certain services, you must first complete our registration form and provide us with certain information such as your name, phone number, and email address, we also ask that you create a password so that you may login to your account.  We use this information to contact you regarding your interests, to allow you to login and view pricing on certain products, to send you product information, special offers and other information from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation.  Out of respect for your privacy we provide you with the option to opt-out from receiving special offers.  You may do so by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication or by emailing us at privacy@arworld.us.

If you wish to make a purchase, apply for a job, or contact us we require certain personal information from you.  You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number).   We also ask that you submit a resume if you are applying for a job. We will use the information provided when you apply for a job to determine if you are qualified for the position in which you applied and to contact you regarding setting up an interview.

We will send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.

Based upon the personal information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your email address.  We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. 

Information Sharing & Disclosure

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways described in this privacy policy.  We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

  • We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as processing your payment, a shipping company to ship your orders, or offering customer service. Log Files

As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files.  This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

Tracking Technologies

Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts are used by us and our third party affiliate, analytics and service providers. These technologies are used to store passwords, so you don’t have to enter it more than once, enable us to track and target the interests of our uses to enhance the experience on our site, make it easier to navigate our site, analyze trends, administer the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Local Shared Objects/Local Storage

TWe use Local Shared Objects, such as Flash cookies, to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use Flash cookies and Local Storage, such as HTML 5 to collect and store information. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. 

We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site.  A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.

We set a persistent cookie to store your passwords, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.  Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. 

Third Party Cookies

The use of cookies by third parties is not covered by our privacy policy.  We do not have access or control over these cookies. 

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

We employ or our third party tracking utility partner employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective.  Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users.  In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us.  We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number and) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at privacy@arworld.us.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Social Media (Features) and Widgets

Our Web site includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Changes in this Privacy Statement
